KM: It is now the four years that you live on this beautiful island Koh Lanta and therefore your 5th Green Season this year. What do you enjoy most during this time of the year from May until October?

Stefan: It is the freshness and lushness of the island. On the mainland there is an impression that Koh Lanta is difficult to access during the Green Season, but this was maybe 10 years ago the case, while now life continues normally, but more quietly though.

KM: We understand that at Layana Resort also during the quieter time of the year that resort is open all year round and that many Europeans still travel to Koh Lanta and stay at your resort. Why

Stefan: Well, on one hand it is the name and brand behind Layana Resort & Spa, which stand for an absolute peaceful environment & impeccable service. Guests travel all the way from Europe as well enjoying our top beach front location and yes again for the pampering factor, regardless if it may rain occasionally.

KM: What is your leisure & excursion team offering your guests ,when they decided to explore the island or want to venture out in the evening?

Stefan: There plenty of activities which we offer our guests, all organized exclusively for Layana Guests with our own boats, yacht or hotel cars by own dedicated team. Guests often love to join our sunset cruises in the mangrove forests or during the day to go on one our organized kayaking trips. If the Weather permits ,we also bring our guests to various snorkeling trips, which is always great fun only for Layana guests, with our crew and sometimes even chefs on board.

KM: Stefan, of course we would have the burning question, what you as the General Manager of Koh Lanta’s leading resort would recommend any guest to do, while vacationing on Koh Lanta during the Green Season now?

Stefan: Koh Lanta is famous for its great dining options in Saladan in the evenings, which is like a miniature fisherman’s wharft. The Lanat Seafood Restaurant and Black Pearl are extremely popular among our guests. Shopping as well in the late afternoon in Saladan or in Old Town at the East Coast of the Island is a must for some great souvenirs to take home. There is also the National Park at the South of the island, which is great during this time of the year for some tracking and visiting the waterfalls in the rain forests.

KM: Sunsets? Where do you watch the best sunsets on the island

Stefan: Of course on Long Beach at Layana Resort & Spa, our Hotel Bar is even called Sundowner Bar and we feature special Happy Hour prices during Sunset Hours. Everyone is welcome also non resident guests and it always like a great happing place before dinner time.

KM: Thank you and we wish you a great Green Season ahead…

Stefan: Thank you
