Getting to Railay
Railay is a peninsula jutting out from Krabi mainland, it’s a place rich in many ways, namely it’s range of world class stunning beaches and their close proximity yet diversity makes them all worth learning about. But one thing to keep in ind Railay is not accessibly by road or by walking from Ao Nang or Krabi, you need to take a long tail taxi boat from either Ao Nang or Ao Nam Mao beaches.
The price is 200thb for a round trip ticket and the boats run form 08:30 - 20:30 every day. The thing to keep in mind is that the long tail taxi boats have seating for up to 8 people, and when all of the boat seats are sold, then the boat will leave (going to or coming from), so this means if you have only 1-2 people you might need to wait around for a little while (15-20 minutes) for others to show up and fill the remaining seats. It’s just a heads up.
